Murda Beatz Wants to Break the Internet with Keep God First
It took five beats a day for three summers to get Kanye noticed. For Murda Beatz, it started with one summer when he was 17 and some friends put him on to Fruity Loops. These days, as Murda recently told an audience at Toronto’s Ryerson University, his beats are going for up to $20k.
Yesterday the Fort Erie raised producer sent the internet into a frenzy by premiering his new mixtape, Keep God First, on OVO Sound Radio. While Young Murda is behind some of your favourites from 2016, including “Back On Road” and “Like Dat,” this is his first full length release. He enlists an array of his favourite rappers to help him out — from Sway Lee, 2 Chainz and Ty Dolla $ign to Toronto up and comers like Pressa and Jimmy Prime.
