Get Familiar with NY Emcee Dot Demo
Dot Demo is a young, rising emcee from the Bronx whose lyrical wordplay and nostalgic production makes him hard to look over. Dot dropped his debut mixtape Delta Theory back in 2014 and followed up with his debut album Outer Body Experience this past September. O.B.E is a deep 18-track project and features a wide range of producers including The Alchemist on the track ‘Big Dawg’.
Dot Demo is a straight NY-street, hard-knock rapper but draws a lot of his lyrical content from issues such as the state of the human condition, spirituality, and the games society plays on the youth. Tracks such as Indigenous Man really proves Demo is ahead of his peers mentally with lyrics such as “Open yo eyes realize the war against yourself/They want your soul , you want the glitter , gold , infinite wealth/Expand the knowledge/Why you tryna spend ya whole life bicker’n over dollers/Wit backstabbers an baby mommas”.
Dot just recently dropped some dope visuals for his track Plugged off of O.B.E. Dot really has a talent for detecting the vibes his songs bring out and navigating those vibes into a dope video concept, something most mainstream rappers these days spend enormous $$$ for video production companies to do for them. Nonetheless, Dot Demo is officially on the TBT radar and we look forward to hearing more.
