F L A C O drops off new project “Sleepinginjeans”
F L A C O has been on TBT’s radar for quite some time and was featured in our top 10 list for Artists to Watch in 2017. Lucky for us, F L A C O’s brand new project “Sleepinginjeans” is here just in time for the new year. Born in Denver, Colorado but raised in Indianapolis, F L A C O’s sound is described as something that doesn’t derive from any specific region. He started making music at 19 and did so with little understanding of who he was an artist. Ironically, his lack in identity allowed him to create a unique style that gained the attention of many fans and sites such as Pigeons & Planes and Noisey.
“Sleepinginjeans is a compilation of music that was born out of pure sub consciousness.” FLACO explains. “I get these intense almost euphoric-like waves of ideas from seemingly nowhere that I have little control over. When the ideas, visuals, music, etc. come to me I don’t dare question it but sort of let myself merely be the catalyst to bring them to fruition. It sounds ridiculously melodramatic but Sleepinginjeans is a hip-hop project that was made through me rather than by me.”
